General
Information -
|
Colorful, laminated birch is my wood of choice since it is neither a tropical
rainforest wood nor is it endangered. The layers are glued together with epoxy,
under great pressure, thus producing an extremely stable, durable wood that
resists wear. Both the bright and the more natural-looking colors are dyed
into the white birch, with occasional layers of un-dyed wood. Only the
colors of my burl woods are found in the trees that produced them.
The styling of each piece is created freehand,
on-the-spot, using no templates or guides. Therefore, when placing a
Custom Order, you will not receive
a shape exactly (or maybe even remotely) like the ones pictured in this website.
(You may select from a limited number of as-you-see-them items on my
BUY-HERE-NOW page.) If you have a specific request, please make it known in the
comments section of my order form.
Pen lovers have sought out my turnings at quality art shows and craft fairs from
coast to coast. I know you’ll find something special here, too.
